I'm a mathematician and software engineer. In 2006 I received my PhD in mathematics from the Courant Institute at New York University, focusing on sparsity in linear machine learning algorithms. From 2006-2008 I worked at google, eventually leaving to pursue independent projects. I spend some time considering a variety of problems in math and computer science. If I have to choose one unifying theme of my mathematical interests, I would say that I am inspired by nice proofs: ideas and justifications which are either very elegant or solve a problem in a very clear and intuitive manner.
